Chicken Cavatappi w/ Garlic Bread


Garlic Bread: 

  • A Loaf of Italian Bread
  • 2 tbsp melted Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Paste OR 1 tsp of Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Basil OR Oregano Seasoning

Directions:

  • In the melted butter, add the garlic paste or powder, and basil or oregano seasoning. Stir it together.
  • Slice the bread about a half inch, and using the butter mixture, butter both sides of the slices and put it in the oven until crunchy or golden. )I leave mine in for about 5 mins)

Pasta:


You need: 

  • Cavatappi Noodles
  • 3 Chicken Breasts
  • Heavy Cream
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Basil Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Oregano

Steps:

  1. Boil your noodles until softened.
  2. Cut the chicken breasts into half inch slices. 
  3. While the noodles are boiling, in a frying pan, add 1 tbsp of oil to cook the pieces of chicken. You can add 1/2 tsp of Salt, Black Pepper, Paprika, and Cajun Seasoning. Cook until golden brown.
  4. In a pre-heated sauce pan, add 1 Cup of heavy cream (or more depending on the creamy consistency you desire OR a splash of milk with the heavy cream). 
  5. Wait until the heavy cream bubbles up, then you can add a handful of shredded parmesan cheese and mix it all together (you do not have to add the cheese, it is completely optional).
  6. Add in the noodles and cooked chicken pieces and keep the heat on a low simmer (about 7).
  7. Now you can add in the seasoning listed above.
  8. Give it another big stir and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes and it's ready to go!
